לאור המציאות שנוצרה בעקבות מגפת הקורונה, תוכניות MBA מובילות מציעות גם השנה למועמדים אפשרות להתקבל ללא ציון GMAT או GRE לתוכניות שמתחילות ב-2023.
בעונת 2021-2022 היו תוכניות רבות שהציעו פטורים מ-GMAT, כגון MIT Sloan, MIT Sloan Fellows, Cornell Johnson, Cornell Tech, NYU Stern, Virginia Darden, Michigan Ross, Indiana Kelley, Texas McCombs, UNC Kenan Flagler, CMU Tepper, Emory Goizueta, Washington Foster ועוד. מועמדים רבים ניצלו את ההזדמנות הנדירה והתקבלו ללימודים ללא ציון GMAT.
