It drives my long-term ambition to return home as a Business Director for a global healthcare giant like Reckitt or Sanofi, where I can make world-class wellness products radically more accessible to over 270 million Indonesian citizens.
Reaching that executive level requires scaled, hands-on exposure in highly sophisticated consumer markets. Post-MBA, my short-term goal is to secure a Senior Brand Manager role at a top-tier healthcare or consumer goods firm in the US, like Pfizer, Novartis, or Danone. If an immediate US placement doesn't materialize, I am fully open to relocating to Singapore for a Regional Brand Manager position. With eight years of driving brand strategy and cross-border communication under my belt, I know I can bring immediate, tactical value to these marketing teams.
USC Marshall is the exact launchpad I need to bridge these goals, starting with its famously tight-knit Trojan Network. I was genuinely moved by how candid and responsive the alumni were when I first reached out. Priya Arora (’25) spoke sincerely about how her classmates and club peers actively carried her through the recruiting gauntlet. That kind of baseline psychological safety and mutual support is exactly the environment I want to grow in.
Academically, Marshall’s marketing ecosystem aligns directly with my gaps. Even with extensive field experience, I view the formal marketing tracks as essential to solidify my on-the-job instincts with structured theory. Sam Kincaid (’24), who also came from a heavy consumer marketing background, told me how Professor Kristin Diehl’s Consumer Behavior course completely transformed how he connected psychology, data, and storytelling. That is a strategic framework I am eager to adopt. In parallel, I plan to round out my executive capabilities through Corporate Financial Strategy to sharpen my P&L ownership, alongside Healthcare Analytics to build a granular understanding of the US healthcare landscape.
Outside the classroom, I plan to jump straight into the Graduate Marketing Association, aiming to contribute as VP of Case Competitions. I want to use my real-world corporate experience to draft messy, thought-provoking cases that spark intense debate among my peers. To unwind and build genuine, lifelong friendships, I also look forward to morning trail runs with the Outdoor Club.

I want to use this space to proactively address a five-month transition gap in 2024 before I joined Procter & Gamble. This period was a deliberate time of reflection and career realignment. After nearly five years driving growth at Danone, a change in executive leadership shifted our organizational focus heavily toward maximizing volume and short-term margins, which unfortunately led to a reduced emphasis on premium product quality. While I respected the strategic shift from a pure business standpoint, it diverged directly from my personal career compass: delivering better, uncompromising nutrition and health solutions to consumers. When it became clear that my efforts to champion quality-first initiatives no longer mapped to the company’s new direction, I made the conscious decision to step away to find a corporate home where I could make a more direct, uncompromised impact on consumer wellness.
My goal was to pivot fully into the healthcare and wellness ecosystem. However, my transition coincided with a wave of sector-wide layoffs and rigid hiring freezes, making immediate placements highly competitive. While I actually received a lucrative offer from a dominant mass-market instant noodle brand in Malaysia, I chose to turn it down because it conflicted with my long-term commitment to consumer health. Ultimately, holding out for the right alignment led me to Procter & Gamble. Here, I’ve been able to spearhead major public education campaigns around pediatric nutritional deficiencies and launch innovative products designed to meet overlooked consumer needs. While my current chapter in Malaysia may soon come to a close, I am eager to evolve this wellness mission at Marshall.
Additionally, I want to address my GMAT score, which I feel underrepresents my true academic readiness and quantitative stamina for Marshall’s rigorous core curriculum. Throughout my career, my day-to-day responsibilities have shifted far beyond basic data collection and into complex, high-stakes financial modeling. As a Brand Manager, I actively own and manage an annual budget of $9–12 million—constantly evaluating real-time sales velocity, multi-channel distribution logistics, media spend ROI, and net profitability lines. I also anchor our long-term innovation pipeline, building comprehensive five-year business cases that fuse consumer datasets with complex market assumptions to engineer P&L models for approval by our ASEAN regional leadership.
This level of hands-on analytical rigor has fully prepared me to master the quantitative demands of the Marshall MBA.
